About Elizabeth

Filming Elopements since 2015

With embers glowing, the conversation softens in volume, and expands in richness as you address topics on your heart with vulnerability and compassion. You are seen in your full humanity, and loved all the more for it. We capture the beauty and complexity that is already present, and mirror back the incredible story that is already unfolding.

EMBR is the embodiment of that connection we all desire.

My Story

How I Got Started

The outdoors have always held a special place in my heart. From the tiny aspen grove in my backyard where I built a fort and read Lord of the Rings, to outdoor ed and finally getting a taste for hiking and adventure. To getting my first car and putting tens of thousands of miles on it in the first year with trips to the mountains. Being outdoors felt like coming home for the first time in my life.
Over the years, my closest friends have been found through our common love of being outdoors.
This led me to merge my love of filmmaking with the outdoors.

" The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun."

– Jon Krakauer, Into the Wild

"The Road goes ever on and on Down from the door where it began. Now far ahead the Road has gone, And I must follow, if I can"

– JRR Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings

"To the stars who listen - and the dreams that are answered."

– Sarah J. Maas, A Court of Mist and Fury

I LOVE WHAT I DO

I love celebrating with you, cheering you on, sharing stories, and enjoying the beauty that nature has for us. I always say that your wedding day is not my screenplay, and I mean it. You should feel safe to be yourselves, and that I won’t come barreling in telling you how the day is gonna go like some prick from Hollywood.

I create a lasting legacy of your wedding – a moment captured in real-time, the tears, the wisps of hair across your eyelashes, a deeper connection than we see on the surface, all forming together to create this out-of-body experience for you as you look back and realize…

That was us.

That is us.

And we’re f**king cool.

If that sounds like you…

Some Facts About Me

I am a dog mom

I have a German Shepherd named Eva. She is the sweetest, most protective, loyal dog you could ask for, and loves when we can get out on a hike to an alpine lake. While in town, you can find us chilling at breweries drawing all the attention lol

I have always lived in Colorado

Same house and everything up until I got married! I currently live in Aurora with dreams of living in a little mountain a-frame cabin.

I have just about every outdoor hobby

I love to rock climb (ranked 20th in the state in a youth rock climbing competition on a sprained ankle that was taped up to be immobile), hike, backpack, camp, off road, paddleboard, kayak, archery, sporting clays, skiing, snowboarding, and fly fishing. I love to escape the crowds and find quiet little pockets of peace out in the world. I’m a road trip junkies, dreaming of traveling to South America, Australia, and parts of Europe.

I didn't start hiking until I was almost 18

It’s true! My family was never really big on going camping or doing day hikes, so we didnt’ do very much until I got my first car and I had a group of friends that started inviting me on weekend trips.

That was when I did my first 14ers, including my first backpacking trip, and then I was hooked.

I’m an enneagram 3

I’m a 3 with a 4 wing which brings a high level of creativity with a strong drive for perfection and a high level experience.

This is one of many reasons I’m in the field that I am!

I’m one of those crazy plant ladies

Some people collect rocks, others collect rare pieces of art. I like to collect plants. My favorites at the moment are my Alocasia Polly, Alocasia Black Velvet, and my Silver Sword Philodendron. I love the variegation in the leaves, the varying shades of green (which I’m also obsessed with) and just the peace it brings to my home.

I’ll also probably drop plant facts as we’re out walking in the mountains. I study up on my native plants!

I also have all the other hobbies too

I’m a collector of hobbies. Cooking, flower arranging, painting, drawing, writing, reading, woodworking, gardening, fitness, and so on. I’m still trying to decide if this is a blessing, or a curse.

I try to live as sustainably as possible

This looks like reusing what I can, buying glass over plastic, eating at home more than eating out, refilling at the Zero Market, composting, keeping a set of utensils in my car so I don’t have to use plastic if I can avoid it, thrifting for my clothes, buying secondhand furniture, and finding budget-conscious ways to make our home more energy efficient. I’m not perfect. The goal is not to only produce a single mason jar of trash for years. The goal is just to do what I can, how I can, to help the earth, and save some money. Most of what I know is thanks to my lovely sister in law who is a zero waste consultant over at That Minimal Life
